If you go up the stairs holding the railing with your left hand and the fitting jogs to the right, it's a left hand fitting.

The strap while convenient isn’t used unless it’s to grab the remote— but never strapped to my wrist. I love that I have one for both remote controls on the Apple TVs in my home.
